We know that organising your travel insurance isn’t the most exciting part of your trip abroad but it’s just as important as your passport and boarding pass. We all like to enjoy our holiday knowing we’re covered for every eventuality so whether you’re jetting off on a few short trips around Europe or going on a long-haul trip, we will ensure you travel with peace of mind.
It’s a good idea to buy travel insurance around the same time as you book your holiday, so you don’t leave it until last minute.
Why choose multi trip travel insurance?
Nowadays, many of us have more than one trip booked throughout the year whether it’s for business or just a couple of city-breaks away which is why it is well worth considering a multi-trip policy.
By taking out a multi-trip policy you have peace of mind that wherever you are in the world, you are covered financially, all year round. It may be slightly more expensive but in the long run it is much more cost efficient than taking out separate travel policies every time you go away.
*Terms and Conditions apply. Please check policy wording for individual insurer benefits as they can vary.
Whilst AbbeyAutoline’s Travel Insurance, provided via SunWorld, can provide cover for thousands of pre-existing medical conditions, customers may view a directory of alternative specialist Travel Insurance providers on the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) website here or call 0800 138 7777.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel or cut your trip short, you may be covered for the financial loss, up to £10,000 but only if your reason to cancel is stated in your policy.
Illness or Injury
If you fall ill or have an accident while abroad, you may be covered up to £15 million.
Loss of Baggage
With many of us travelling every year, it’s no surprise that baggage can go missing. Our single trip insurance also protects your belongings.
Missed Departures
Protection against additional transport costs is covered if you have a missed departure as a result of one of the policy-covered scenarios.
Travel Helpline
You will have access to our 24-hour Accident and Claims UK helpline for guidance or support.
Cruise insurance is a specialist policy that covers the specific activities and risks associated with a cruise holiday. For example, cruise insurance may cover you for missed port departures or transport to the hospital if you take ill on a cruise line.
Will you be teeing off on your holidays? If so, this policy provides you with cover for loss, theft or damage to your golf equipment, up to £1,000. It can also cover you for non-refundable green fees which you may have already paid for if you cancel your trip.
We also cover a wide range of sporting activities that may not come under a standard travel insurance policy. These include everything from American football to deep sea fishing.
