About the Role:

As Commercial Broker, you will help support our ambition of raising the profile of the AbbeyAutoline Commercial division and positioning us as the business insurance provider of choice. By delivering professional, knowledgeable advice and outstanding service, you will play an important role in supporting our clients and building long-term relationships. 

The Commercial Broker will work closely with Commercial Account Executives to support the management of commercial client accounts, ensuring clients' insurance needs are met efficiently and to a high standard. 

Your Responsibilities:

Customer:

  • Support Commercial Account Executives in the handling of key client accounts.
  • Preparing Broking Presentations for New & Existing Clients
  • Provide expert and prompt advice to new and existing customers regarding their insurance needs and identifying any additional covers they may benefit from.
  • Liaise as appropriate with insurer partners.
  • Identify new AbbeyAutoline prospects through networking and market research.
  • Maximise all sales opportunities including prospect generation and cross selling.
  • Achievement of monthly/annual targets
  • Be a corporate ambassador and by presenting a professional image of self and AbbeyAutoline at all times.
  • Maintain the highest quality of customer service levels by prompt, customer-focused, professional servicing of client accounts by efficient mid-term-adjustments and customer queries.
  • Assist with commercial renewals process as required.
  • File Management - ensure individual client cases are completed promptly, effectively, accurately and fully.
  • Ensure client confidentiality is maintained and protected at all costs.
  • Adhere to FCA regulations and requirements.
  • Provide cover for commercial team colleagues when necessary.

Qualifications 

Essential -

  • 5 GCSE’s, grades C or above (including Maths & English), or equivalent

Desirable -

  • CII qualifications are an advantage but not essential.
  • Additional relevant insurance qualifications an advantage but not essential.
  • A ‘Level standard of education preferable.
  • Sales qualifications an advantage.

Experience 

Essential -

  • Previous experience in general insurance
  • Experience and / or working knowledge of Commercial insurance.
  • Evidence / experience of delivery excellent Customer Service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate to people at all levels using a variety of communication channels
  • Analytic ability with report writing skills
  • Proven high level of accuracy in both numeric and written work.
  • Computer literate – knowledge of a variety of insurer platforms

Desirable -

  • Sales experience an advantage.
  • Customer Service knowledge a distinct advantage.
  • Working knowledge of OGI
  • Experience in credit control.

About the Role:

As a Business Support Advisor, you will play a vital role in the smooth running of the Customer Accounts Department by delivering effective administrative, accounts, and customer support. Working collaboratively with colleagues and customers, you will manage accounts accurately, resolve finance-related queries, and support credit control processes while maintaining high standards of fairness, efficiency, and professional service.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer enquiries relating to accounts, payments, balances, transactions and other finance-related matters.
  • Proactively contact customers regarding outstanding balances, payment arrangements or other queries as required.
  • Carry out day-to-day account administration, including the process of reviewing and reconciliation of financial transactions as appropriate.
  • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and queries, liaising with customers, colleagues, insurers and other relevant parties where necessary.
  • Support the effective management of outstanding debt in accordance with the Company’s credit control policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date customer and financial records on the Company’s systems.
  • Provide administration and operational support across the Business Support and Accounts functions as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to resolve queries and ensure work is completed accurately and within appropriate timescales.
  • Identify and escalate issues, discrepancies or more complex queries to the appropriate Team Leader or Manager.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes and procedures within the department.
