The Role at a Glance:

AbbeyAutoline are recruiting for a Commercial Broker to join their Coleraine based team.

As a Commercial Broker, you will help us achieve our goal of raising the profile for our AbbeyAutoline Commercial Division, making us the business insurance advisor of choice, by providing professional, knowledgeable commercial insurance advice to clients. The Commercial Brokers plays a key role in supporting the Commercial Account Executives in managing Commercial Client accounts, ensuring their commercial insurance needs are met.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support Commercial Account Executives in the handling of key client accounts.
  • Preparing Broking presentations for new and existing clients.
  • Provide expert and prompt advice to new and existing customers regarding their insurance needs and identifying any additional covers they may benefit from.
  • Liaise as appropriate with insurer partners.
  • Identify new AbbeyAutoline prospects through networking and market research.
  • Maximise all sales opportunities including prospect generation and across selling.
  • Achieve monthly/annual targets.
  • Be a corporate ambassador and present a professional image of self and AbbeyAutoline at all times.
  • Maintain the highest quality of customer service levels by prompt, customer-focused, professional servicing of client accounts by efficient mid-term-adjustments and customer queries.
  • Assist with commercial renewals process as required.
  • File management - ensure individual client cases are completed promptly, effectively, accurately and fully.
  • Provide cover for Commercial team colleagues when necessary.
  • Adhering to FCA regulations and requirements.

Your Requirements:

Qualifications 

Essential -

  • 5 GCSEs grades at C or above (including Maths and English) or equivalent/ or commensurate experience.

Desirable -

  • CII qualification or relevant insurance qualification.
  • Additional relevant insurance qualifications.
  • Sales qualification.

Experience 

Essential -

  • Demonstratable experience working within the insurance sales industry.
  • Experience and/or working knowledge of Commercial insurance.
  • Demonstratable experience of excellent customer service.
  • Computer literate, with a knowledge of computerised insurance systems.

Desirable -

  • Working knowledge of Open GI.
  • Sales experience.
  • Experience in credit control.

Competencies -

  • Good team player.
  • Analytic ability with report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to communicate to people at all levels using a variety of communication channels.
  • High level of accuracy in both numeric and written work.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
